Cushions on patio furniture can get very dirty over time, and if they're not fitted with zips where you can remove the covers and pop them in the washing machines, it's hard to clean these. Not only do they get grubby, but they can also be attached by mould and mildew. Follow the instructions below to hygienically clean cushions for patio furniture.
YOU WILL NEED:
Steam cleaner
Borax
Upholstery cleaner
Spray bottle
Soft scrubbing brush
HERE'S HOW:
1. Use 1 tablespoon of Borax, 3 tablespoons of Upholstery cleaner and combine with enough water to fill a spray bottle. Shake the bottle well to mix the contents.
2. Working one side at a time, wet the surface of the cushion with the spray mixture.
3. Run the steam cleaner over the surface of the cushions and then lightly brush with a soft scrubbing brush. Repeat for stubborn stains.
4. Rinse well under a hose pipe and leave to dry out in the sun. Turn the cushions during the drying time.
Your patio cushions will be clean and fresh. The Borax kills mould and mildew spores and hygienically cleans the fabric and it also gets rid of odours.
