These designs are perfect for an older home that needs a facelift - or added interest - and you can design your own pattern to blend in with the style of the home. The design you choose for your porch floor will obviously depend on the level of skill you can apply to the technique.
Someone who has never tackled a stencilling project before would be best to keep to a simple tile design. Although, having said that, there's no reason why you can at least attempt a more intricate design - it just takes more care and patience.

How to paint a concrete patio
YOU WILL NEED:
Plascon RemovALL High Strength Degreaser
Plascon RemovALL Rust Remover and Concrete Etcher
Plascon Floor Paint
Optional: Polycell Masonry Patching Plaster or Polycell Rockset
HERE'S HOW:
The concrete finish must be in good condition for painting, and you will need to give it a good clean before painting. Scrub the floor with Plascon RemovALL High Strength Degreaser and then rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
It's also a good idea to apply Plascon RemovALL Rust Remover and Concrete Etcher to ensure a longer lasting finish. Follow the instructions and allow to dry.
Any cracks can be repaired with Polycell Masonry Patching Plaster or Polycell Rockset - both of which need time to dry before being painted over.
Now you are ready to apply your chosen colour of Plascon Floor Paint. Apply two coats, allowing at least 4 hours drying time between coats.
Painting Tips
◊ Ensure a non-slip surface by adding Plascon Grip Additive to the second coat of floor paint.
◊ Apply paint with a foam roller for a brush-stroke-free finish.
◊ Use masking tape to mask off any areas not being painted.
◊ Use Brush Cleaner to clean paintbrushes after using Floor Paint. Dip the brush and don't leave brushes to soak, as this will damage the brush.
