Bosch PBH 2500RE rotary hammer

Bosch now adds a new rotary hammer to its Compact Generation, range for DIYers, the Bosch PBH 2500RE. This tool has 50 watts more power and ten percent more impact than the most powerful tool previously available in this range. This means it is now possible to drill diameters of up to 22 millimeters into concrete, 30 millimeters into wood and 13 millimeters into steel.

The 2.2 kilogram light rotary hammer offer 600 watts of power, a single impact force of 1.9 joules and a pneumatic hammer mechanism that allows for high impact force in hard materials. As a result, it effortlessly drills holes into concrete and very powerfully completes chiselling work such as removing concrete for cable slots.

Drilling into masonry, wood or metal or even screw-driving will no longer be a chore! By simply switching off the impact function using the rotary switch, and selecting the appropriate chuck for the specific material, you can carry on working quickly and efficiently. The chiselling function is also selected using the rotary switch. Drill bits can be replaced with chisels quickly and without the need for additional tools thanks to the SDS-plus chuck. The integrated “Vario-Lock-System,” also enables you to adjust the chisel to one of 36 positions to precisely adapt it to each work situation. For example, removing old tiles from walls and floors.

Further advantages are the accelerator switch for smooth drilling starts, the slim-line design and softgrip surfaces which makes the PBH 2500RE sit securely and comfortably in your hand.

The PBH 2500RE rotary hammer is now available at selected retail outlets at the benchmark retail price of R1589. The tool comes complete with SDS-plus chuck, SDS adaptor + 13mm chuck, 6 SDS drill bits, auxiliary handle, depth stop and carrying case.
