How to replace a tap washer
If you have never replaced a tap washer, you will be surprised at how easy it is to do this. Replacing a tap washer will only take around 10 minutes tops. If you have a mixer tap with a cartridge filter, you may need to replace the entire tap.
1. Remove the top button from the tap to reveal the screw shaft underneath. Use a suitably sized screwdriver to loosen the screw.
2. Once you lift off the top of the tap you will see the shaft that fits into the top. Now you can use a wrench to loosen the shaft.
3. Take out the shaft to remove and replace the tap washer.
In reverse order, put everything back the way it was and your tap will be good as new.
