When you are starting out a making your own furniture you will need a few basic tools. A Drill / Driver, sander and jigsaw are probably the first tools you will invest in, but there is one more tool you might want to consider adding to your collection.

The Kreg Pockethole Jig has to be one of the most inventive woodworking tools we have seen for quite some time, and is one that is an affordable purchase. You have the option to choose from a basic jig (at around R762) - or a full on kit (at R2503) - depending on what you can afford to spend.

The coffee table shown above is just one of the tips you will find on the www.tools4wood.co.za website and Chris used a Kreg Pockethole Jig to not only laminate sections for the top of the table, but also to assemble the entire table.

You will also find plenty of projects, tips and tricks right here in the DIY section on Home-Dzine for when you start using your Kreg Pockethole Jig for the first time, or sign up for a www.DIY-Divas.co.za woodworking workshop and get hands-on with this amazing tool.
