Masonite becomes Evowood
Masonite has been rebranded as Evowood, and whether you use Evosure Original, Evosure Fincote, or Evosure Chalkboard - remember to ask for Evowood.
With a high structural strength, Evosure products can be used for a variety of projects that require boards to be durable, resistant to abrasions and be bent, curved or molded. The product does not easily crack, split or splinter and provides a smooth surface for a variety of paint finishes.
Evosure also boasts a high internal bond strength for gluing, as well as good machining properties. As a result, it is used in many areas of DIY, as well as specialised carpentry and manufacturing.
Original: Available in sheets varying in thickness from 3.2mm to 6.4mm, Evosure Original is ideal for applications where a backing board or project needs to be painted. The smooth finish is grainless and knot-free and easily primed and painted.
Fincote: With its white top coat, Evosure Fincote is grainless and knotless and will not crack, split or splinter. It has a high level of resistance to abrasions, scraping, stains and solvents making it ideal for usage as backing boards for DIY furniture projects, kitchen cupboards, as well as vanities and built-in cabinets.
Chalkboard: A cost effective option, Evosure Chalkboard is a traditional option for educational institutions as well as children’s educational toys. This chalkboard product is of superior quality and ideally suited for use in the educational environment.
Pegboard: Evosure Pegboard offers excellent storage capabilities and provides innovative solutions by utilising walls as storage space. The perforated [4.8mm] holes are arranged in a square or diagonal configuration, creating a highly adaptable storage or display surface. It is available in brown or white hardboard and used to create storage panels in a variety of environments including workshops, kitchens, shop fittings, exhibition displays and decor arrangements.
GOOD TO KNOW: When fixing Evosure products - choose the correct fastening method and size of fastener in relation to the thickness of the board used. Nails, pins and screws should be placed 6 - 12mm from the board edges. To eliminate the need to conceal nail heads, standard woodworking adhesive can be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
