Drill straight holes in walls
Even the most experienced DIYer can struggle to drill perfectly horizontal holes in walls, but beginners struggle even more. Here's a tip to make drilling straight holes easier.
All you need is a piece of 32 x 67mm pine - an offcut will do just fine. Use a 10mm wood bit to drill holes along the length, selecting the one that is most accurate.
Measure and mark four equally spaced spots, on both the front and back of the piece of pine.
Select the most accurate hole, in this case our first hole was almost one hundred percent accurate on the front and back, and use this as a template for drilling into the wall.
