Recycle plastic bottles into dust and drip collectors

When drilling into or painting ceilings mess and drips are inevitable. Now you can recycle a plastic bottle into dust and drip collectors.

 

It's always satisfying to come up with yet another way to recycle plastic bottles, and here's an easy way to use plastic bottles to collect dust when drilling into ceilings, or paint drips. All you need to do is cut off the base of the bottle with a craft knife or sharp scissors.

To collect dust when drilling into ceilings, drill a hole in the base of the plastic container and slip this over the drill bit. When you hold under the area being drilled the container will collect any chips and dust, saving you time on clean-up.

To prevent drips when painting a ceiling, use a Dremel MultiTool and cutting disk to cut a slot in the base of the plastic container that allows you to slot the handle of the paintbrush into the collector.
