Decorate with shades of grey

Decorating with light shades of grey allows you to decorate in so many styles and with so many colour combinations, that grey should be the new white. Whisper-soft grey walls provide the perfect backdrop for building up layers of colour to create a personal decorating scheme for any home.

 

We took some of the beautiful room settings from Ideal Home magazine to show you how easy it is to decorate your home in muted shades of grey. You can combine grey with almost every other colour in the spectrum, giving you the freedom to bring in colour and texture for modern, fresh living spaces in a home.

ABOVE: For a whimsical look that is not too feminine, combine grey, pink and white, or grey, pale green and white, for a room setting that is cool and comfortable. This colour combination works well with light flooring and light hardwood furniture such as oak or whitewashed pieces.
