Painting tips that make painting projects easier
Painting projects can be time consuming, but here are some handy painting tips that will help make any painting project easier.
ABOVE: This is one project that you should make a habit for all your painting projects. Paint the sticks with all the paint colours or wood stain that you use when decorating your home and label each with the paint swatch code or wood tint. When buying accessories, fabrics or furniture you can take along the swatches to make it easy to match colours. It's also handy when buying made-to-order furniture and can't quite decide on the colour you want.
ABOVE: As a substitute for a candle I like to use a wax crayon. Using coloured crayons makes it easier to see where you rubbed the wax and also to check that you have removed it all.
ABOVE: After painting glue some felt pads to the base of your chair and table legs. This will protect your flooring from scratches.
ABOVE: Straining your paint before use is especially important if using a Bosh PFS spray system. Sometimes larger lumps can clog the nozzle.
