Christina of The DIY Mommy shows how easy it is to transform tiles with Rust-Oleum Chalked paint and a stencil. In this project she uses Rust-Oleum Chalked ultra matte paint in Charcoal and Linen White, topped off with 2 coats of Rust-Oleum Ultimate water-based matt polyurethane sealer.
You can see the full step-by-step tutorial for this project in the video at the bottom of this page. Rust-Oleum products are available at Builders stores countrywide and are easy to use. Plus there are six vintage colours to choose from.
Once you've prepped the floor properly, apply the paint with a foam roller - working from a far corner to the front. You will need to apply two coats of Rust-Oleum Chalked paint, with plenty of drying time between coats before leaving this to dry thoroughly overnight.
Christina used a Santa Ana stencil from Cutting Edge Designs and you can order this for local shipping, or you can make your own stencil.
