Repurpose and Reuse Gift Boxes for Gift Boxes!
Boxes and cartons are perfect for creating special gift containers, whether or Christmas, birthdays or special occasions.
In this project I am using an egg box, and a couple of old gift boxes to show you how easy it is.
For the larger gift box - shown on the bottom of the pile - I sprayed Rust-Oleum Universal metallic pure gold over the outside and inside of the box. Although I will pack with tissue paper, I want the inside to look good too.

On the lid of the box I applied Alcolin spray adhesive and then stuck down semi-transparent wrapping paper covered with gold stars.
For the smaller gift box I simply sprayed it with Rust-Oleum universal metallic titanium silver. To add decoration I used glue dots and small plastic mosaic tiles and flowers to add pizzaz. All my small decor items I find at Westpack@Lifestyle and they are really cheap, plus they have plenty of options to choose from.
The egg carton was decorated with air-dry clay roses and sprayed with Rust-Oleum metallic aged copper. Once dry, the entire box was wrapped with a wide black ribbon that was glued in place with my Dremel hot glue gun.
While you may not have any boxes now that you can recycle or repurpose, keep any boxes left over from the festive season... You never know when these might come in handy.
