Spray on a light, even coat and let this dry before applying a second coat. Replace the newspaper with fresh, so that you can turn the blades over to paint the other side.
DIY TIP:
Don't stress if you make a mistake or have dripping or bubbling; you can correct just about any error with sandpaper. Simply wait until the paint is dry (allow around 60 minutes) and sand these back, then reapply the top coat.
