Cake stand made from plant pots

Dress up some plant pots with spray paint to create this charming cake stand. Easy to make, you can add your own personal touch to this cake stand to match your table decor or party theme.

YOU WILL NEED:

Plastic or terracotta pot and saucer base
Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint in your choice of colour
180-grit sandpaper

 

 

HERE'S HOW:

1. Lightly sand the pot and base and wipe away the dust.

2. Apply a light even coat of Rust-Oleum 2X spray paint over both the pot and the base. If you place both upside down on a piece of newspaper, you won't need to worry about painting the inside of the pot or base.

3. Once the first coat is dry, apply the second coat.

4. Now place the pot upside down on it's rim and place the base on top. Voila, your quick and easy cake stand.
