Colourful Easter egg garland
Buy some colourful embroidery thread to make an Easter egg garland or colourful table display.
I made some Easter eggs today out of string, and turned some of them into a garland. Here's how I did it! Make a stiffener mixture. I used 1 cup of liquid starch mixed with a half cup of flour , and blended it in a blender. You could double or triple this recipe if you'd like. I did. Next I got some string, I used embroidery floss. You could also use pearl cotton thread or crochet thread. Apparently the embroidery floss section of the store is a dangerous place, I grabbed a bunch and couldn't stop myself.
YOU WILL NEED:
Colourful embroidery thread
Pack of small balloons
PVA glue
Vaseline
HERE'S HOW:
Pour the glue into a bowl and soak the embroidery thread.
Blow up the balloons to the size that you want your Easter eggs to be. Cover the outside of the balloons with a thin layer of Vaseline. This will stock the thread from sticking to the balloons. Start wrapping the sticky thread around the balloons. To hang up your balloons and make a garland, simply thread through a long piece of embroidery thread and hang.
