Mosaic art using recycled aluminium cans

Artist Jill Helms creates the most beautiful mosaic pieces using bits and pieces of aluminium cans that she collection. Lots of tiny pieces of aluminum cans are scattered about her studio workspace when creating a new piece of mosaic art.

 

Jill Helms uses the term ‘studio’ lightly, since her creative space is a small room off the garage. But, it has everything she needs to create and indulge her artistic ideas.

Boxes of recycled aluminium cans -  organized by colour -  fill the bottom shelves of three industrial shelving units. The middle shelves store paints, paper, canvas, brushes and inspiring photographs. The top shelves hold jewellery supplies for pieces she makes from tiny leftover pieces of aluminum.
