Pretty birdhouses with Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover
Rust-Oleum 2X spray paints are available in brilliant colours - both satin and gloss - and can add a splash of colour to ordinary projects, like these pretty birdhouses for mounting onto the wall.
I was inspired to make these pretty birdhouses for an adorable display.
Painted with Rust-Oleum 2X in gloss key lime, seaside and grape, these are just a few of the bold, bright colours your will find on the shelf at your local Builders.
The birdhouses are easy to make with a few MDF offcuts. You can use a mitre saw or jigsaw to cut the sections and then screw (or use No More Nails) to glue them together. Make a couple of holes in the front for the opening and to fit an 8mm dowel.
Rub a little wood filler over the cut edges of the board to reduce absorbency and seal them to ensure you use less spray paint on these areas. Sand smooth with 240-grit sandpaper once dry.
Add a picture hanger to the back of the birdhouses to mount on a wall.
