Fingerprint Easter eggs - fun kids craft
I was trying to come up with ideas for Easter craft projects and finger painting came to mind. But then I thought about using fingerprints to paint fun designs onto eggs.
This is a fun project that the kids can do in the holidays or on a weekend and it's inexpensive, fun and safe to do if you use hard boiled eggs (for decoration only and not for consumption).
Before any painting starts, spray the hard boiled eggs with a light coat of Rust-Oleum 2X heirloom satin spray paint that you will find at your local Builders store..
You can use any craft paint for this project, but I had some Bostik glass deco paints (at most Pick n Pay stores) that work just as well. Simply put a small amount of paint on a saucer or small paint and dip in your index finger to make shapes on the painted eggs.
The kids can be as creative as they like, using colours and fingerprint patterns to make fun shapes.
After painting, use a superfine point permanent marker to outline the fingerprints and make creative designs on your Easter eggs.
