It's so easy to add instant colour to your living room with some scrap wood and Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover spray paint. We used 2X in Gloss Modern Mint to add a crafty storage display on the wall.
YOU WILL NEED:
Rust-Oleum 2X Ultra Cover in your choice of colour
Scraps of wood to make the hexagonal boxes
Wood glue
Newspaper or drop cloth
Gloves
Clamps
HERE'S HOW:
1. Assemble your storage boxes using wood glue and leave overnight to dry.
2. Shake the can of spray paint for about a minute. You will hear the mixing ball start to rattle around the can. Hold the can about 30cm away from the surface and spray on a light, even coat by moving the can from side-to-side. You will need to apply 2 to 3 coats for maximum coverage, but do allow 30 minutes drying time between each coat.
GOOD TO KNOW: Always spray in a well-ventilated space when using spray paint.
3. Assemble the individual boxes and glue these together.
GOOD TO KNOW: It helps to clamp each section until the glue dries (about an hour) before moving on to the next section.
GOOD TO KNOW: To hang the completed display onto a wall, add a couple of picture hangers to the back of a couple of the boxes.
