If you get hand fatigue when using a spray paint can for long periods, this trick will make spray painting far easier and you also have the option of choosing the type of spray cover you need.

If you are a fan of Home-Dzine, you know that I love all types of painting but particularly love using spray paint for DIY projects around the home. If a project gives me the choice between using a paintbrush or a can of spray paint then I am definitely going to choose the spray paint. Not only is it faster to use spray paint for painting projects but it is less time consuming and faster to complete projects but when you use a spray paint product such as Rust-Oleum, you are guaranteed a professional and long-lasting finish.

Why is Rust-Oleum spray paint better?

The reason that Rust-Oleum spray paint gives you better coverage is due to the paint to solvent ratio. Another important factor is the Stops Rust formulation that protects against rust corrosion. I have found that the colour retention of Rust-Oleum spray products also far exceeds other brands, even when used outdoors in our extreme climate in South Africa.

One important benefit to consider when looking around for spray paint is that Rust-Oleum can be used on various product surfaces and this includes the following:

  • Ceramic
  • Concrete
  • Drywall
  • Fabric
  • Fiberglass
  • Glass
  • Hardboard
  • Masonry
  • Metal
  • Plaster
  • Porcelain
  • Vinyl
  • Wicker
  • Wood

Keep in mind that some of the surfaces mentioned above require advance preparation or the use of a specific Rust-Oleum spray product, so check online at Builders.co.za or your local Builders store beforehand.

Why is Rust-Oleum spray paint more expensive?

I am sure that most of you have heard the saying, "you get what you pay for" and this certainly applies to the Rust-Oleum product range. You get more paint for your money, you get a long-lasting finish, you get the Stops Rust formulation. Having tried plenty of other spray paint products as part of my projects on Home-Dzine, I can honestly assure you that you only need to try this range of spray paint products once to know that you will use it every single time.
