Nobody wants a bedroom that is drab and depressing. It's the first thing you see in the morning and you want to start the day feeling good. Interior Designer, Laura Stein, turned a drab, dark bedroom into an inviting retreat that is comfortable but filled with understated luxury - a place where it's a pleasure to start and end the day.
Decorating the bedroom started with the bedding. Colours used in the room took their cues from ivory-coloured curtains that dress the windows and filter the morning sunlight. The installation of window shutters allow for maximum privacy without blocking out natural light, keeping the room airy and bright.
Who wouldn't want to spend time in the cosy sitting area located just off the bedroom alcove. There is plenty of storage for books if you feel like a quiet read, and seating provides a well-appointed place to relax, kick off your shoes and watch a bit of TV before heading to bed.
