ITC-SA to host CPD-accredited timber conference at Interbuild Africa

The ITC-SA will be hosting a CPD-accredited timber construction conference on the 16 August at Expo Centre Nasrec as part of the upcoming Interbuild Africa 2018.

As part of its mission to create and maintain standards in the timber construction industry, the ITC-SA is committed to taking every opportunity to host information-sharing events like workshops, training sessions and presentations, which help to inform both the industry and the public. The Timber Construction Conference to be hosted at Interbuild Africa is no different and ITC-SA are delighted to be bringing top industry experts together at the conference to share their wealth of knowledge and insights into various facets of timber construction, from strength grading of structural timber to treatment and surface coatings on the completed structure.

The ITC-SA’s conference at Interbuild Africa will be host to Werner Slabbert Jnr, who will be presenting on Timber Frame Building, Elliot Nkosi of the ITC-SA, who will present on Site-Made vs. Prefabricated Timber Trusses, Abe Stears of South African Technical Auditing Services (SATAS), who will present on the Certification of Structural Timber, Willie Conradie of TimberLife, who will discuss Outdoor Wood Coatings and Bruce Breedt of the South African Wood Preservers Association (SAWPA), who will talk about Timber Treatment, Standards & Regulations.
