DIY Divas at Legacy Ladies Day, DaVinci Hotel, Sandton
On Saturday 25 June, 2016 the DIY Divas were proud to present a Ladies Day workshop hosted by Sureshnie Rider at the DaVinci Hotel in Sandton in aid of #blowthewhistle
The prestigious event was attended by 250 ladies, who thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful day of food and fun. The DIY Divas organised an easy project where all the ladies attending made their own chalkboard clock.
To make your own chalkboard clock you will need:
Rust-Oleum Chalkboard spray paint
6mm SupaWood cut to the size of your clock
Clock mechanism
Parrot chalkboard / glass marker pen
Lightly sand the edge of the clock before applying Rust-Oleum chalkboard spray. Apply 2 to 3 coats, and let each coat dry before applying the next coat.
Drill a 12mm hole in the centre of your board to mount the clock mechanism. Fit the shaft of the mechanism through the hole and secure with washers. Attach the clock arms, insert a battery, and screw a picture hanger on the back, and your new clock is done!
