Stage 2 load-shedding this weekend!
South Africans should prepare for a dark weekend as Eskom announces stage 2 load-shedding until Sunday.

Eskom has announced that South Africans will be left in the dark this weekend as stage 2 load-shedding takes place until Sunday night 17 March, 2019. The stage 2 load-shedding began on Friday and will remain in effect until Sunday due to a shortage of capacity due to continued plant breakdowns.
With the nation as a whole to be effected by load-shedding, you might want to check the schedule to see when you area will be targeted.

Stages for load-shedding explained:
Stage 1: Least amount of load-shedding (up to 1,000 MW) for implementation over a 4-day period for 2 hours at a time, or 3 times over an 8-day period for 4 hours at a time.
Stage 2: Double the frequency of Stage 1, which means you will be scheduled for load-shedding 6 times over a 4-day period for 2 hours at a time, or 6 times over an 8-day period for 4 hours at a time.
Stage 3: Increased frequency of Stage 2 by 50%, which means you will be scheduled for load-shedding 9 times over a 4-day period for 2 hours at a time, or 9 times over an 8-day period for 4 hours at a time.
Stage 4: Double the frequency of Stage 2, which means you will be scheduled for load-shedding 12 times over a 4-day period for 2 hours at a time, or 12 times over an 8-day period for 4 hours at a time.
