Make your own Desk Calendar
Use CD cases to make a cool calendar for your bedroom. Use a white board marker pen to write on the plastic cover so that you don't forget any important dates!
You will need:
CDs no longer being used - check with mom or dad
Pictures from magazines, recycled cards or magazines
Sharp craft scissors
Calendar templates - Search for CD 'insert year' calendar templates
Here's how:
Remove the cover pictures from the CD case and give it a clean in some warm, soapy water. Dry with a clean cloth. If you have any difficulty in removing the back image, ask mom or dad for help.
Arrange the CD cover so that it looks exactly like the one on the left.
The various calendar months are slotted into the front section, so that they can easily be removed for a new month. You will find plenty of 2011, 2012 and every new year on the Internet.
