If you're undecided about what colour to paint your kitchen AND your kitchen isn't very large, take inspiration from this amazing makeover at the lily pad cottage. Kelly swapped out the dark mottled kitchen top with a fresh white one and replaced the dark tiles with greige subway tiles. What a difference!

This affordable makeover shows how easy it can be to give a kitchen a brand new look on a budget. And you don't necessarily have to rip out the old tiles if you use a tile adhesive like Weber Renovate Tile Adhesive - simply tile on top of the old tiles for an instant refresh.

If you don't have the funds available to splurge on expensive countertops, get the look just as easily with Formica LifeSeal countertops in white. If you go with the latter, it's an easy DIY project to remove and replace your old countertops in a weekend.

White will always be a popular choice for kitchens; it's clean and fresh and invaluable for making a small kitchen appear much larger than it actually is. It's also easy to bring colourful elements into the setting to add splashes of colour.

So, if you're in two minds about what colour to paint your kitchen, take into consideration the size, how much natural light the room receives, and go for white.
