I like to use my Dremel MultiTool on recycling projects. You can use the accessories to cut out plastic [below], engrave on glass food jars, or even upcycle aluminium cans.

You can also using the engraving bit to engrave on a wide variety of materials, including stainless steel or aluminium, and even leather.

For Easter projects, use the engraving bit to pierce eggs to make them easier to blow out.

Grinding or Polishing

Your Dremel MultiTool comes with a couple of grinding stones, one of which is the aluminium oxide grinding stone. You can use this to sharpen your tools, including garden shears and trimmer.

Assorted grinding stones in varied shapes and sizes are ideal for a variety of grinding projects, including sharpening tools and accessories.

Use the aluminium oxide grinding stone to clean up your concrete projects.

The silicon carbide grinding stone is perfect for engraving and designs on glass, and a great way to recycle glass food jars.

Abrasive buffs are handy accessories for cleaning and buffing a variety of materials, and perfect for removing rust.

Before painting any areas with rust, use the abrasive buff or brush to clean away as much rust as possible and then treat with a suitable rust preventative product.

Cut

Pop on a cutting disk and you can pretty much cut anything. I love to recycle food cans, and being able to use my Dremel tools makes recycling  projects easy.

With the addition of a special cutting disk I can even use my Dremel MultiTool to cut ceramic tiles and have a super smooth edge.

With the diamond cutting wheel you can cut curves or difficult shapes using your Dremel MultiTool. However, for cutting tiles invest in one of the higher speed models, such as the 8100, 8200 or Dremel 4000.

GOOD TO KNOW

The diamond cutting wheel cuts glass mosaic tiles.

With its high speed, you can cut through steel chain links with a cutting disk and Dremel MultiTool.

The cut-off wheels supplied with every tool are great for cutting through thin materials when making your own decor and party decorations.

Or use the reinforced cut-off  wheels to cut through hard plastic or plastic coated aluminium for craft projects.

You can even use the cut-off wheel to cut piano hinges down to size for specific projects.

And the reinforced cut-off wheels even cut through steel mesh when you need to cut this down to size.

In fact, with all the cutting accessories that you can fit onto a Dremel MultiTool, you can pretty much cut through any material.

Need to remove stripped screws? Insert a cutting wheel and cut a slot in the screw to make it easier to take it out with a flathead screwdriver.

Cut aluminium strips down to size easily with a Dremel MultiTool and cutting disk.

I used my Dremel MultiTool and cutting disk to cut my aluminium Venetian blinds down to size to fit inside the window.

Any Dremel MultiTool can be fitted with a variety of attachments to become even more versatile for crafts and hobbies. The larger kits include a circular cutting attachment, and you can add a routing attachment to your collection.

The grout attachment is easy to fit and allows you to easily remove old grout to refresh a bathroom or kitchen.

Sanding

All Dremel MultiTools are supplied with a variety of sanding rings, large and small, that can come in handy for a wide range of sanding tasks.

Because of their size, the sanding rings are useful in so many ways. Use them to remove paint in hard to reach areas.

When renovating wooden window frames use the sanding rings to clean up the edges before applying a new coat of sealer, paint or varnish.

Use 60-grit sanding rings to remove burrs and rough edges from welded projects, or to remove paint in difficult areas.

Smaller sanding rings get into those small spaces to remove rust when giving furniture and accessories a makeover.

And last, but not least, use the Flexi Shaft and small 120-grit sanding ring to give your feet a pedicure.

Buffing and Polishing

The buffing pads comes in a variety of shapes and sizes for practical tasks around the home. Use them when cleaning brass, copper or silver, or when doing a variety of craft projects.
