New concept in home design and construction

Developed by Multipod Studio, the pop-up house offers a unique approach to passive prefabricated construction. The entire house can constructed quickly and easily - without the need for special tools - using recyclable materials. The pop-up house uses inexpensive materials that are assembled in modules, sort of like building a lego house!

Imagine being able to build a house in four days using only a cordless drill / driver. That's all it takes to assemble the pop-up house due to its prefabricated design that uses insulating blocks and wooden panels.

The entire structure, once assembled, delivers affordable thermal insulation that cancels out the need for additional heating or cooling. And, since heating or cooling a home represents almost 30% of global energy consumption, the passive construction of the pop-up house offers outstanding thermal insulation at an affordable cost.

The central living zone in the open plan living space covers 60 square meters. One entire wall runs the length of the living space and is made entirely of glass, seamlessly blending interior and exterior together as part of the design and allowing plenty of natural light to flood the space. Wall panels are particle board that is treated with matt charcoal-tinted cement wash that enhances the raw materials used as part of the construction, which includes timber door frames, trim, floors and ceilings.

The five-metre kitchen island is made of the same materials as the walls, and topped off with a wooden countertop - blending perfectly into the heart of this open space.
