My sweet valentine

Spoil your special valentine with something sweet to say I love you!

 

YOU WILL NEED:

Glass mug
Self-adhesive paper
Sharp craft knife
Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass spray
Cutting board
Newspaper

HERE'S HOW:

1. Cut out a heart shape in the adhesive paper using sharp craft knife. Use a cutting board to cut on., then punch a heart-shaped hole in it to create a stencil.

2. Remove adhesive-paper backing and position the stencil on the mug. Press firmly.

3. Place the mug on newspaper. Shake the frosted glass spray well and lightly spray onto the glass mug from a distance of 20 - 30 cm away. Let dry.

4. Slowly remove the self-adhesive paper and fill with pink sweets. Wrap in cellophane and tie with a pink ribbon.

YOU WILL NEED:

Empty tins, cleaned and dried
Cookies and biscuits
Coloured craft paper or wrapping paper
Double sided tape
Ribbons and scrap fabric
Gift tag
Elastic bands

HERE'S HOW:

1. To decorate tins, cut pink, red and white wrapping or craft paper into heart shapes of various sizes and adhere to tins with double-sided tape.

2. Top off the tins with pretty fabric lids, secured with an elastic band and wrapped with a decorative ribbon.

Make homemade truffles
These truffles make the perfect gift. Just wrap them up in pretty boxes. Or you could just spoil yourself. Either way, they're so simple to make and they look fabulous!

YOU WILL NEED:

2 large bars of chocolate, broken
1 cup heavy cream
1 knob of. unsalted butter
1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp. coffee orange or raspberry liqueur, optional
Cocoa powder, icing sugar, coconut or crushed nuts, for dusting

HERE'S HOW:

1. Melt broken-up chocolate with cream in a double-boiler or over hot water. Remove from heat, stir in butter and, if you'd like, liqueur. Cool, then refrigerate.

2. When chocolate is set, scoop it out using a melon baller or a small spoon. Roll in cocoa powder, confectioners' sugar, coconut or crushed nuts. Keep cool.
