Summer sandals with glamour
Almost too good for the beach, you'll be wearing these from dawn to dusk - and quite possibly on into the evening. So, buy a few inexpensive pairs the same and decorate them differently to design an entire wardrobe of summer shoes, all created in just minutes using an engraver and a glue gun.
You will need:
Dremel Engraver with Carbide Engraving Tip 9924
Dremel Glue Gun 930 and clear glue sticks
Leather strappy sandals
Embroidered mirror and sequined embellishments
Cup shape sequins
1. Use a pencil to draw a design onto the insole of the sandal and then use your Dremel Engraver with the carbide engraving tip to engrave along the pencil lines. Remove any remaining pencil marks with an eraser. Repeat on the other sandal.
2. Set your Dremel Glue Gun 930 to hot to stick the metallic velvet ribbon along the strap of the sandal, threading it through the loop on the T-bar if necessary and trimming the ends at an angle where the ribbon meets the insole. Repeat on the other sandal.
3. Apply a dot of hot glue to fix a flat-backed gem in the centre of a cup sequin. Add another dot to glue the sequin to the centre of an embroidered mirror embellishment. Prepare two more the same. Glue the first embellishment centrally on the loop at the top of the T-bar. Attach another to either side. Repeat to complete the other sandal.
