Countdown to Christmas - Gifts you can bake

I don't know about you, but Christmas this year is going to be tight. So tight in fact, that all my friends and family will be receiving homemade gifts. The thing about homemade gifts is that they need to be made with love and care, and not something you whip together in five minutes!

Here's my countdown to Christmas gift ideas, giving you plenty of time to gather together all the supplies you will need to lovingly craft and create.

Baking Gift Sets

If you know someone who loves to bake but doesn't have all the up-to-date accessories, putting together a cupcake baking set will knock their socks off! You can source your supplies around town, or buy them all online... it all depends on how much you want to spend.

All you need is a gift box (or make your own), some cupcake liners, piping nozzle set, some glitzy and colourful decorations, and a cupcake design book. If schlepping around just isn't for you, buy the complete set at Yuppiechef for R355, because a gift for your BFF is soooo worth it. And don't forget that little girls love baking too, and what better way to inspire a love of baking than by presenting a gift that allows them to make gorgeous cupcakes, or bake their own cookies and biscuits with a cookie cutter set.
