Make a friendship bracelet
Young or not, these colourful friendship bracelets are fun and funky. You can wrap them with fabric, paint them or add colourful cotton stripes with embroidery thread. Make more than one and give them to your friends.
To make a friendship bracelet you can recycle ice cream sticks. Soak them in warm water until they become soft and bendy and then place them in a glass. Leave them in the glass until they are dry and keep their shape.
Coat each stick with two coats of ModPodge or clear acrylic sealer. The sealer makes each bracelet more durable and helps it to keep its shape. Let this dry and then wrap with colourful embroidery thread or fabric, or paint over the top with acrylic craft paint.
Once the sealer is dry, wrap with colourful embroidery thread or fabric, or paint over the top with acrylic craft paint. Put a small spot of glue at the end of each strand of embroidery thread to hold in place.
