Recycled craft challenge

Over the last few months we have featured a selection of recycling crafts that make use of plastic bags and bottles, wine corks and crates, and other household waste. Now we want you to come up with some great ideas for using household waste in new ways. Running from now until the end of September '12, you have plenty of time to put your imagination to use and come up with ways to recycling, reuse and repurpose. This is your time to shine - to show how to use household waste - to look at ways to reduce your carbon footprint - and to win!

	Repurpose an old cabinet Here is a perfect example of how you can so easily repurpose ugly furniture into a beautiful piece at very little cost.
	Repurpose louvre doors Louvre pine doors can be repurposed into a variety of decor accessories, but my favourite is to use louvre pine doors or shutters into a feature headboard.
	Handmade rag rugs The design blends modern lines with a child safe, eco-conscious, family friendly sensibility. Let’s lighten our carbon footprint by gliding in feather light stilettos.
	Chandelier made of plastic bottles Inspired by Michelle Brand, this chandelier from plastic bottles repurposes plastic in ways you would never believe.
	Floor lamp of plastic bottles There are so many ways to repurpose plastic 2-litre bottles and this floor lamp is just one example out of many.
