Make your own Christmas cards
If you haven't already sent out your Christmas cards, or prefer to hand them over with a gift, here are some lovely home made Christmas cards that you can get the kids involved with over the holidays.
Braid Tree Card
YOU WILL NEED:
Coloured card blank
Home made paper
Sticky ric rac and braid
Metallic star confetti
Coloured paper
Glue
Hole punch
HERE'S HOW:
1. Cut and stick a piece of natural paper to the card blank and trim the top and bottom edges with braid.
2. Cut pieces of coloured ric rac in varying lengths to form a triangle tree shape.
3. Glue to the natural paper, leaving a small space between each piece.
4. Decorate the tree with confetti stars, and glue some coloured paper hole-punched spots around it.
Stripy Bauble Card
YOU WILL NEED:
Square card blank
Brown paper
Coloured card or paper
Sticky ribbons
Small wooden star
Ribbon
Glue
HERE'S HOW:
1. Cover the front of the card blank with a piece of brown paper and glue in place.
2. Cut out a coloured bauble shape and glue to the centre of the card.
3. Decorate the bauble with sticky ribbons, a small wooden star and a ribbon bow.
Merry Christmas Tree Card
YOU WILL NEED:
Rectangular card blank
Rectangular coloured card
Crazy Clay
Shimmer letter stickers
Glue
HERE'S HOW:
1. Draw half a tree on the front of coloured card and cut out.
2. Wrap the tree shaped card around the card blank and glue in place.
3. Decorate the tree by gluing on rolled balls of Crazy Clay.
4. Add a festive greeting with stick-on letters.
Button Wreath Card
YOU WILL NEED:
Square card blank
Embossed dot paper
Coloured Lotka paper
Assorted coloured buttons
Coloured raffia
Glue
HERE'S HOW:
1. Cut and stick a square of embossed paper to the front of the card blank, followed by a smaller square of coloured paper.
2. Arrange the buttons in a circular ‘wreath’ shape and glue in place.
3. Finish off by gluing on a small raffia bow.
