Beautiful crafts with shells

The Easter holidays are the last chance most of us get to have a holiday before winter. It's also the perfect opportunity to go walking on the beach in search of seashells for your next seashell project.

While you're not going to find larger more exotic seashells lying on the beach, unless you get up very early in the morning, you will find smaller seashells, or be able to buy packs of shells at coastal stores.

 

Make up simple shadowboxes to mount small conch shells, larger seashells, coral and starfish.

Clam shells make wonderfully decorative candle holders.

 

 

A shell craft that continues to be popular is to use shells to decorate picture frames.

Seashells in muted colours can be beautiful on their own when placed in glass jars and put on display.

While you're taking that early morning stroll along the beach, keep an eye out of seashells that you can use for your next decor project.

 

Use seashells to make your own personal home decor. Shell look so pretty when combined with bleached or whitewashed wood, or organic materials.

Use commonly found shells as decorations for a wreath, or to decorate table settings for a special occasion.
