Quick Project: Wall Art

This quick project lets you make your own wall art - in any colour - to fill up a blank wall.

12/01/2019

If you need artwork to fill up a blank wall, all you need for this project is a framed canvas or a canvas covered board and some acrylic paint (in 3 colours). This project only requires 2 steps and your new artwork is ready to hang on a wall.

HERE'S HOW:

1. Use a foam paint roller to roll on the base colour, in this case a deep blue. We selected this colour because it allows the circles on top to pop. Cover the entire board and the sides. Let the first coat dry thoroughly before applying a second coat.

2. For this next step you are going to need a few objects to make the circle shapes. Bucket, jars and glass food containers are great. Line the rim of your circular object with paint in your second or third colour choice and then turn over onto the canvas. You don't need to worry about drips, as these add to the overall effect of your wall art.
