Ceiling fan blades accumulate a build up of dust quite easily, and it's important to remove this build up as often as possible. Not only will this dust be circulated around the room when the fan spins, but it also affects the performance of the ceiling fan and could eventually lead to the motor burning out.

Slip the pillowcase over each individual fan blade - right up to the narrow end, close to the housing - and gently hold the sides of the blade will you slide to the end to remove all the dust along the edges of the blade - into the pillowcase.
